Before Meets After #2

This bloggers world has turned me into an obsessed woman with a paint brush - thanks to some great homes and inspiring ideas. Even more, my eyes have opened up to the 'little things we do' that can change a room to bring on that warm feeling inside when you enter your space.
My latest, among several on the go at the moment, is this glass/mirror cabinet. My Mum gasped when I told her I had painted it - she has one exactly the same - and being an old piece is of the belief it has ruined the 'antiqueish' look of it!! I Love it.....
(sorry not the clearest photo) This is before....
And now....
Ran out of paint to do the inside!!! And couldnt wait to put up this post..so will finish when I purchase more - promise!

I also have a couple of new purchases that I think finish off the piece
These gorgeous artichoke bookends, heart and bird I bought on ebay..

  4. Hey Rebecca,
Hope you are over your cold. Nothing like a warm blanket to make you feel snug and warm. I call mine my 'magic blanket' because every time I have it over me I fall asleep - Magic! Love the transformation of your cabinet! Beautifully styled too!

  5. Hi Rebecca, wow - it looks amazing, you have definitely brought that cabinet into this century! I absolutely love the bird you purchased on ebay - am about to go and put it into search criteria to find one for myself. I have a few birds around the house but none in black. Michelle

  9. Hi Rebecca. I can totally relate to the paint obsession. I have a few pieces lined up here waiting for a makeover. I just need the weather to warm up a bit so the paint will dry!

Your cabinet looks amazing! So lovely and fresh. Well done :)

  13. Hi Rebecca - I'm just stopping by to say thank you so much for being my very first "follower!" It's amazing that you're in another country, and yet when I went through your blog, we have had very similar experiences (I have some furniture from my grandmother that MY mom has expressly forbade me from painting!). Thanks again!
