to use in updating this......
to become this...
One of the cats was on my new chair within five minutes of unpacking it! Luckily I put a towel down knowing this princess would take posession.....
also my first try at a pom pom - so easy.
The footstool/ottoman is quite out there in color, but I love it. It was originally given to my partner by his parents as they no longer wanted it. The material was terrible to work with, as obviously not made for upholstering. I will have it done professionally, eventually, including the buttons and probably in a duck egg blue linen. But for now am enjoying the pop of color for some fun.
Hope you have all had a good weekend. X
Really well done! Love the blue velvet and the painted feet just go together with it perfectly :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job and it looks wonderfuk together!
ReplyDeleteAren't you too clever! Love the colour - just gorgeous. Great job! K xx
ReplyDeleteWow-that is so clever. I wouldn't have thought of that (not to mention, there is no way I could have done it either)! Lovely. Emma. xx

ReplyDeleteVery clever, if only I could just whip something like that up! I love the colour. I'm very much in love with dark blues at the moment..Rachaelxx

The ottoman is absolutely gorgeous ... what a wonderful idea to use the material of a skirt! And I just LOVE the chair ... I'm putting one on my wish list for my bedroom ... that'll be the next room that gets a makeover ... a desperately needed makeover!!! Loving your blog x
ReplyDeleteHi and thanks for visiting and following my new blog! I just see your blog and I really like it, so I am your new follower. The ottoman is really well made (and I love your new chair!). All the best, all the way from Switzerland,

I love the way this turned out. I have one sort of like it waiting to be covered. I know how velvet keeps moving around and "walking" while you're trying to sew it. But your's turned out so nice.
ReplyDeleteOh and your linen chair...Gorgeous!
